Fringe is Everything {And my H&M Fringe Bargain}

I’ve been seeing Fringe all the over lately and I am loving it. I guess you could say I am an old soul, because I have and still do always had a place in my heart for 1920’s and 1930’s glamour and fashion. I loved the dresses, the jewels, the hats, turbans. I love it all. I especially always loved the fringe. Hello Flapper. I even went has a flapper on Halloween one year. There is just something fun about fringe. It has this versatility about it. It can either be ultra glamorous or have this eccentric bohemian vibe which I also love. Like this H&M bag I recently got.

See the horrible selfie taken from my bathroom mirror. Sorry for the terrible picture it was the only one I had.

So, the weather has been in the 80’s this week here in Seattle and I was realizing I surprisingly didn’t have that many summer clothes. I went through a phase a few months ago where I purged everything I hadn’t worn in at least 6 months or anything that looked old or that I just didn’t fit any more which left me with very little warmer weather clothing. I think I had gotten used to always being cold since I have been back. So I went to the mall {*Cringe* I have a phobia about the mall. Don’t ask.} and actually ended up walking away with some super cute things, however I realized as I got home I got a lot of silky kimono’s, a cool weather jacket, a 1 tee and not anything I actually went in for. However, when I stepped into H&M I was completely drawn to this Fringe purse, I initially walked away from it because I thought I didn’t need it, but I came back because, well it was H&M, and it was cheap, and if there was ever a place to splurge on a trend it was here. So I bought it. And I got to tell you, I LOVE it. It came in this gray-whitish color or black. Black looked to cheap to me and just didn’t give me that vibe that I wanted. I wanted to look fresh, springy and fun and this color totally captured what I wanted in this bag.

Fringe Bag H&M 2

Now, when I got home I promptly ripped the tags off and threw away the bag along with the receipt so I can’t for the life of me remember how much it was, but I know it was under $40 bucks. I like that it has a shoulder strap or the option to carry it off the shoulder. I can pretty much see myself wearing this with so many options. Like a pretty lace dress, or jeans and a tee, or even going out at night with a little black dress. It’s such a fun bag.

I have loved looking through this trend while I am at work with nothing to do,  and being able to see what the designers and fashion intellects have been able to create. Here are a few of my favorites.

I love this fringe leather jacket. It takes me back to the 80's but in fresh & stylish way.
