Sunday was obviously Easter. And thankfully mother nature held back her tears for a clear and warm day for the holiday. My family decided to meet at Salty’s in West Seattle on the water with the most glorious unobstructed view of the city.
Each Sunday, Salty’s has one of the best buffet brunches around I think, and we all decided to head over to visit with family and eat our weight in crab legs and oysters.
I have to say I am probably the worst person to bring to a buffet because, while I am on the plumper side, I really don’t eat that much and I was full off my first small plate. However, I powered through it not even skimming what the buffet had to offer.
Now, I didn’t get many photos at the restaurant because I got caught up in chatter and concentrating on trying not to spill on my new white top. But, when we were finished I though it was a good time to take a couple of photos of my new hair cut ( I got bangs) and my Easter look.
I also got bangs the day before, and snapped this picture super fast to send to a friend because they asked to see the bangs lol, I didn’t want anyone to actually see me take the “selfie” which is why I look either angry or indifferent, so not the best look lol, but I wanted to share the new hair, which I actually love. I feel much more polished even if I am just running around bare faced, t-shirt and jeans.
I am going to be quite honest. I decided to not post many photos of the look because I had my brother and dad take the pictures and trying to give them direction on capturing my good side was pretty moot, and the photos I did see I was NOT pleased with how I looked, which wasn’t their fault at all (which is also why I bought a juicer and immediately went for a hike after). But here are a few shots from the day.
After we ate my folks and my brother and sister-in-law said good-bye to the rest of our family and went over to the Ballard Locks to take a walk. It was actually quite mellow for Sunday afternoon and quite lovely.
All in all it was a lovely Easter Sunday. How was your Holiday weekend?
