Wanderlust Wednesday-Thanksgiving

Ok, yes. I realize that Thanksgiving is a holiday and not a wanderlust but for some of us you are traveling to another city, or a family members house, or maybe your going to your boyfriend/girlfriends home for the holiday and this will be your first time meeting everyone. So what I wanted to do today is focus on Thanksgiving. What to wear so your comfortable and what you are thankful for :).

My family usually switches homes for Thanksgiving, but this year most of my family has moved out of Washington or spend the winter in the warm weather, so it’s just only 7 of us. Either way though, I intend on indulging in some of my favorite things, which means I want to be comfortable and honestly, jeans or tight pants are not my ideal eating attire. What I love to wear are loose fitting dresses with either tights or just bare legs. With this look however I wanted to give this adorable Uniqlo dress a bit of boho & glam.

Thanksgiving Wanderlust

When creating this look I was thinking, what would I wear to meet the parents if Thanksgiving had happened to be the first time ever. I would want to look cute, but still not veer from my own personal style. So I chose this Uniqlo dress which I LOVE. You can wear it so many different ways for work, weekends or dressier events. What I chose to do was add a couple of these Stella & Dot Sommervell necklace and just add a longer one and then shorten the second one. I love an ankle bootie, and a flat pair would look great with this, but I wanted to dress it up a little bit so I am kind of obsessed with a wedge ankle bootie and these are my favorite. Add a simple clutch, a cozy sweater as a fun layer and this adorable hat to top off the whole look.

I’m Thankful for my life & a support system that beyond words. This has been a tough few years for me and hitting rock bottom and having these people to fall catch me is more thankful than I think words can express.

What is your go to Thanksgiving look? What are you Thankful for this year?
