Memorial Day Weekend Looks

Memorial Day weekend is right around the corner. That means summer is right around the corner and that means this weekend will be busy with so many fun events. Wether your at the beach, wine tasting with the girls or keeping it mellow at a farmers market or local event I put together some fun styles I thought you might like.

{The first look is something I would wear if I was going to be in L.A. at the beach.}

Memoria Day Weekend

I am in love with the bohemian look and I love Mara Hoffman clothes, especially her swimwear. I chose this blue suit because I love the beading detail on it and the color. I love a wedge but I find it to be an incredibly silly shoe choice for the beach. Your walking through sand and a wedge just makes me fall so I like to stick with a simple sandal. I don’t mind a flip flop sandal but I adore a sleek and simple sandal. I chose these Sam Edelman leather nude sandals that keep the focus on the suit and accessories. I add a stack of bracelets which I always wear and take a white crocheted cover up. I am not the kind of gal who is ever comfortable walking around in only my swimsuit so a cover up for me is mandatory. I love this Anna Sui tunic but Shop Planet Blue has some really great cover ups like this one and this one too. I chose this Madewell bag because it is identical to a bag my mom had when I grew up as well as I had when I was younger. I think it’s the perfect bag with this outfit, the sunglasses give the look a retro feel and the yellow scarf I would tie on my head in lui of a hat. It’s my new favorite look.

Memorial Day Weekend

One of my other favorite looks is the cross between feminine and masculine which is why i think this is one of my favorite looks. I LOVE a denim button down and I love a chiffon skirt. I love the contrast of the rugged and casual feel of the button down and romantic touch with this bright yellow skirt. Just remember though to get this look right the denim button down needs to be fitted. To give it a girly touch try tying it in a low knot with just a hint of skin or keeping it tucked in but just unbuttoning it one more to have the touch if sexiness but still keeping it sophisticated. I adore this orange clutch along with the bright yellow skirt. I wanted to keep it small so it could be used as a clutch but also had a strap for when my arms get to full with wine bottles. I kept my accessories minimal with just a gold bracelet and rose gold watch. The heels I added a fairly neutral keep with just a small pattern. I love these shoes. I would perfer a more nude tone other than the balck strap but this workes well too. And of course some cool and relaxed sunglasses. {The third look is what I would wear to a long weekend fair or farmers market}

Memorial Day farmers market

When it comes to cruising a farmers market or a local street fair I want to keep things simple. Obviously this look is more for warmer weather but it’s felt a lot like summer here in Seattle so why not thing warm. It’s close to summer so I want to brighten my wardrobe and keep things light since I will be walking around outside most of the day. A simple light dress, bright and neutral comft sandals, gold bangles and a bright yellow cross body bad. I adore this one for the size too not to big just the perfect size. Don’t forget your sunnies and your sunblock too!!
