Vintage Style

I have always been a huge fan of old movies. I’m talking old black and whites. I love them, I also love the fashion from the 20’s, 30’s and 40’s. Everyone took so much appreciation into their looks. I adored the men in their dapper three-piece suites and fedoras, and the women in their ornate hats, gloves and heels.

I think about fashion now and it’s amazing but I often revert back to the days of the 20’s, 30’s and 40’s and take some inspiration to add to this day and age.

I had been digging through a ton of boxes looking for photos of my grandparents when they were younger so I could frame up along with other family photos and came across so many great photos.

I only have one scanned but it is my favorite.

{My grandparents.}

This is one of my favorite photos of my grandparents. I love my grandfathers letter sweater and fedora and my grandmothers Ā ensemble with the pop of color belt, striped shirt and her hat.

Above is my take on some vintage looks for right now.

On the Left: I loved the look of the wide leg pants that were worn in the 20’s, 30’s and 40’s and the romantic blouses the women wore. It is a look that is still very much a wearable look today. I paired it with a chunky vintage inspired heel, and of course a Chanel quilted bag. Don’t forget a gorgeous red lip and rep nail. A trade mark on the times which is very much a timeless look.

On the Right: I adore this skirt and jacket. The jacket is so sexy and I think the blouse is perfect but I also think a tight corset underneath would be so cute and give more attention to the jacket. An envelope clutch, platform t-strap and a red lip to draw it all in.
